"I talk to him when I'm lonesome like,
and I'm sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
and gently licks my hands;
Then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
but I never say naught thereat,
For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes,
but never a friend like that!"

- W. Dayton Wedgefarth

I love dogs, I always did.
Few years ago while I was here in Brasil, we went with some friends to a country show.
The city where I live is lost in the middle of orange groves and sugar cane in a rural area in the middle of Sao Paulo’s State.
In the show there wax an exposition of puppies.
There I saw the most beautiful cocker spaniel I ever saw and he knew that I was hooked the moment that I grab him, that’s why he did not want to stop biting the collar of my jacket.
Then we went home with Oliver. I had to sleep with my harm dangling down and him biting or licking my fingers.
Two weeks later we discover that he had dog distemper. We did anything that was possible to trying save his young life, I spent my nights sleeping in the patio close to him when he had the crisis and he was crying. But whatever we did, did not work and 4 months later Oliver died.
His star lives in The Pet Rescue Starry Sky, a way to keep remembering him.
Then regardless my firm decision not to have a dog again, I open the door to a little three colored cocker that we named Zac and the year after arrived Mel, Oliver’s sister to create the couple that shares the house where I live. Zac is very independent and he wanted his own space here in the Arc.

Oh … well … what can we do …. What can we do…
