- mmmhh ... I just moved to Vegas about 3 months ago with my little girl Cleo (in the picturewith me), then my family got bigger when my boyfriend moved in with his little boy Melky. Then we decided to get a fish (Damon) and during Christmas time we adopted Kitty. It can get crazy at times but it is also a lot of fun (not when they pee on the carpet !!!!). Evan and I both work in Hotels and we love to spend time with our little gang whenever time allows.
and then there were 4 ... no wait! FIVE!!!!!
So it has been a little more than a year and the pet count went up to 5! What happened???
Well one day I was driving to work and I saw a grey cat following my car, I thought it was our Kitty and that I had accidentally let him out (Kitty is not an outside cat). I stopped the car, went to pick him up and found out it was not Kitty but some sort of twin brother. I learned from neighbors that his owners were foreclosing and left the animals behind 3 months earlier!!!! The cat had been a stray the whole time and he was so skinny I took him home right away. My bf gave him a bath, trimmed his nails and for weeks we could not agree on a name and we kept on calling him "other Kitty" ... and it just happened that he responds to "Other" (sad eh?!). On February of this year my bf was in our office upstairs and he looked outside the window when a car stopped on the main road outside our community and the driver pushed a dog out. The car drove away. My bf ran to his car and drove to look for the dog. Twenty minutes later Tex was in our backyard and I was in pure FEAR! IT'S A PIT BULL! I kept on telling him. Tex is a Pit Bull all right, all 75LB of him! He is actually a Blue Nose Pit Bull which is a rearer version of the normal Pits and a BIGGER one. Tex did disrupt our lives. Because of Tex, now I know that Pit Bulls are just dogs and whatever everyone says about the breed is not true. Tex did distroy a lot of things in the house and he moves the furniture around when he gets too excited ... but on top of everything he wan our hearts. He is a good giant with angel blue eyes and the strength of a horse. Tex found his place in the pack and he knows how far he can push Melky and not to take it personal when princess Cleo has one of her moments. For a while it seemed as if it could never work out with him, and I tried to find him another family but hen I could not let him go without having my heart broken. So now he shares our lives and he shares our bed with Cleo and Melky (thank God for the California King size mattress!!!).
We are happy about our "family" and we love all of them and all of their personalities. Our lives would be so empty and meaningless without them!
